About us

Founded in 2008, Dumitru Medical Center, P.C. has been treating and caring for the residents of Metro Detroit for the better part of the decade. Our practice is owned and operated by Dr. Dumitru Sandulescu, a Board Certified Internal Medicine Specialist with over twenty-five years of experience practicing as a physician.

Dr. Sandulescu, affectionately called Dr. Dimitri by his patients, practiced additional medical specialties throughout his career, including gynecology, surgery, and even acupuncture—this creates an advantage that only diversity and experience can provide. The Internal Medicine specialty provides the physician with a unique ability to treat and evaluate a very wide range of conditions and diseases. These capabilities combined with Dr. Sandulescu’s unique experience provide him with an unmatched ability to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients.

Our practice is located within the Omni Medical Center in Sterling Heights, Michigan. The building sits on the East side of Van Dyke across from the Chrysler Sterling Heights Assembly plant and next to Penna’s Banquet Hall.
